Service Description

A chemical peel is a solution applied during an in-clinic treatment which works to remove dead skin cells and increase cell turnover. As a result of this highly effective exfoliation, the skin ramps up its production of new skin, replacing old, damaged skin cells with healthy new ones. Benefits - Helps to treat skin concerns such as pigmentation, acne, and aging skin. Improves skin texture and firmness, decreasing fine lines and wrinkles. Allows at home skin products to be absorbed better, resulting in better overall results. AlumierMD chemical peels are light- to medium depth, and are formulated to reduce irritation and redness so minimal downtime. Side effects - Although there is very little downtime to the AllumierMD peel you will experience some redness and inflammation to the skin within the first 24 hours. Some dry/flaking of the skin can occur after but this is usually minimal. Safety - As the AlumierMD peels are light to medium they are suitable for all skin types even sensitive skin. However unfortunately not available to someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. After care - Usual facial aftercare advised, keep hydrated, sleep on a clean pillow case etc. Avoid touching your face immediately after to avoid any bacteria entering into your skin and causing an infection. Avoid direct sunlight for at least a week after and use SPF daily. Avoid any exercise that will cause you to sweat and this includes the use of saunas and steam rooms for 2-3 days after. Avoid wearing makeup for a few days is advised. Avoid using any active serums like Retinol, Vit C etc for around 2 weeks.
